Great family beach in Doonbeg - safe to swim at, and sandy. Be careful at beaches on the west coast as several are more exposed or prone to rip tides.

Walk around and take in the sights of the famous Cliffs of Moher.

Sandy beach right next to Armada Hotel about 20 minutes away. Safe to swim between flags. Friendly, organized sea swim every morning at 9am - rain or shine!

Armada Hotel is a short walk from the beach and has hot drinks and snacks.

Take a short ferry out to Scattery Island from Kilrush and explore the monastic sites.

Not just known for their golf! Great little town to go and have a day around.

Another great little town to go and have a walk around - not far from the Cliffs of Mohr same direction as Lahinch too so you can cover both in one trip.

Ennis is the biggest town nearby - so if you want more variety in terms of bars, restaurants, shopping, cinema, etc - head up there. Best port of call nearby if you forgot anything (clothes, shoes, etc.)
