Shannon Airport (SNN)

Shannon Airport is the closest airport for those who are flying. It is less than an hour drive to Trump International and the surrounding area. Car hire and taxi is available at the airport, but public transport isn't an option.

Dublin Airport (DUB)

Dublin Airport is better connected than Shannon Airport, with a greater variety of flight times and destinations. It is about a 3 hour drive to Trump and the surrounding area.

Travel from Dublin Airport to Dublin City is easy and will typically take 30 mins by public transport. Trains and buses are available from Dublin as far as Limerick or Ennis, but you'll need to drive or get a taxi the rest of the way to Trump and the surrounding area, so a hire car from Dublin is probably as easy if you're flying in to Dublin Airport.

If you’re not in a rush, traveling by train is a great way to see the beautiful Irish countryside. Simply hop the train at Heuston Station in Dublin. Take the Galway line to the Athenry stop and then hop on the Limerick line all the way to Ennis. It is then a 45 minute taxi or car ride from Ennis.

Rideshare services are not readily available in Doonbeg or the surrounding areas. We strongly encourage renting a car or arranging for a car service for transportation. Keep in mind that renting a car requires international insurance and driving on the wrong side of the road on country roads, potentially in rain.
